The latest opinion on my vocal attempts....

Kspace says:

Uhh...rape? Do I WANT to listen to that?

The Anterockstar says:

yes, you do

Kspace says:

kk...

Transfer of "tam rape 44.wma" is complete.

Kspace says:

Slightly pitchy at the beginning, and you're not using your diaphragm to project your voice strongly enough, but pretty good.

The Anterockstar says:

lol

The Anterockstar says:

everyone's a fucking voice coach...lol

The Anterockstar says:

thank you

The Anterockstar says:

how did you like the changes?

The Anterockstar says:

it's not mastered yet tho

The Anterockstar says:

so, keep that in mind

Kspace says:

What do you mean by changes? The overall improvement to your voice? Very noticeable.

The Anterockstar says:

thank you

The Anterockstar says:

I meant the changes to the song

The Anterockstar says:

I altered it significantly from the first one

Kspace says:

I never understood the lyrics properly to really know...Cobain sang as he spoke: incoherently.

The Anterockstar says:

lol

Kspace says:

I just assuemd those WERE the lyrics and that's why you chose it.

The Anterockstar says:

then would you give the first one a listen to refresh it in your mind, you'll notice the changes immediately, especially on the bridge

The Anterockstar says:

ah... nope

The Anterockstar says:

way more words in mine than cobains

The Anterockstar says:

and more meaningful or at least... meaningful to more people

Kspace says:

Frankly I think you should bring a little more rage to the song.

The Anterockstar says:

there is but it's sublime

The Anterockstar says:

the images in the video will be shocking enough to compensate for lack of rage in the vocals

Kspace says:

I'm sure.

The Anterockstar says:

the message will be absolutely clear I think at that point... but we'll see

The Anterockstar says:

lol

The Anterockstar says:

I'm gonna post this, k?

Kspace says:

Sure.

Kspace says:

I've not said anythign personally incriminating.

The Anterockstar says:

sweet, thanks

The Anterockstar says:

*giggles*

Kspace says:

Have you got a sound engineer for this thing, though?

The Anterockstar says:

I don't think I have either, but someone's word use meter for "rape" has just gone up a notch

The Anterockstar says:

I'm working on that, getting Stoneman to park it and do me a favor is a job and a half

Kspace says:

Because the sound was a little "flat"

The Anterockstar says:

the sound needs improvement, yes, and Gerry was laying another guitar track, cause there are 6 vocal tracks on there, the guitar is disappearing out the back end...lol

Kspace says:

The guitar and vocals should be recorded separately, then mixed together--repeatedly, until it sounds just right.

The Anterockstar says:

do you think tho, just the facts of a woman singing that particular song would get it somewhere?

The Anterockstar says:

yes Steve, we know what we're doing...lol

Kspace says:

Some of the vocal tracks didn't seem to line up properly, at least from what I heard.

The Anterockstar says:

Gerry's been playing and mixing since he was 12, he's now 38

The Anterockstar says:

yes, because it's not mastered yet asshole.lol

Kspace says:

I think a woman singing it is the best thing since this Montreal bar band re-recorded Twisted Sister's "We're not gonna take it".

Kspace says:

Girl band...

Kspace says:

Re-listen to THAT song and tell me it doesn't have a whole new meaning recorded by a woman.

The Anterockstar says:

nice

I can't wait till it's MMIXED!!!!
