*tongue in cheek* I am the all singing all dancing crap of the world…. *tongue firmly in cheek*

My response:

I can understand the stigma surrounding one’s employment status.

Allow me to introduce myself, my name is Tamara, and I’m unemployed.

I’m not going to even try and hide it, I am on Ontario Works, and have been since June 2007.

If you examine my resume though, you will note that I have several years experience (some very high places, with some very high demands) getting and holding down jobs.

I have several years of successful self-employment under my belt as well, where in my first year I brought in over $120,000 (which is what enabled me to improve my living conditions and move out to Oshawa from Scarborough).

My current endeavors, and may not have yet seen commercial success, but neither has Ontario Works managed to figure out what to do with me either.

I have been very productive these past few years, that the market does not yet realize this, or the value of my efforts, is simply a matter of time.

We’ll have to see on Election Day.

Allow me once again to introduce myself, I am Tamara Morahan, and I am more than my welfare cheque.
