I’m sorry you didn’t have the courage to bring your doubts to me, and I’m sorry this will find you second hand, but that’s how it’s got to be. For ME.
I have spent a great many years earning the privileges I enjoy, those things which you would use to justify your jealousy and cause you to act like a coward, instead of the courageous woman you are. I’m sorry to be the catalyst to your disgrace… but that doesn’t make me its architect. How dare you use my beauty to fuel your ugliness?
I take this opportunity to apologize to myself for allowing your disgrace to even for a moment sully mine. I am sorry, dear Tamara, for letting you think that the happiness in your life comes at the cost of misery, I’m sorry you feel you have to shed tears in order to feel joy, I’m sorry you don’t feel like your kindness and your honesty and your courage are strengths to be enjoyed and celebrated. I’m sorry I let another individuals pain get in the way of your joy. I never doubted you for a minute, I love you, I’m proud of you, and you are a beautiful artist hell bent on making your mark, and in that you have my full support, and I won’t let anyone or anything get in the way of that, ever. I will always be there for you. I will never abandon you.
I know you’re tired, I know you’re doing your best, I will do my best to give you what you need to get proper rest, and what you need to be at your fighting best. There’s a long road ahead of us, but together we will get there. Between us we have everything we need to succeed, and that’s just around the corner.
Fighting is what we do for fun. I almost didn’t write that, but from now on, I’m going to teach you how to fight and win.
