Tomorrow is a big day… it’s the fist day of summer vacation for the
kids, and I can’t wait to spend time playing with them. I’ve bought
these sets for them to build, and they’re going to produce little
movies. Emma has her story written, and tomorrow she moves on to set
building… Lucas is just gonna start there, he never plans
anything…
Before I go to bed I have to write an address to Council. I’m not
nervous, and I’m not even sure I have any work left to do on it, it’s
in bits and pieces all over my blog. It’s funny, people say I’m hard
to follow, well, gee… you’re reading my thoughts and watching my
work unfold… are your thoughts this easy to follow? I sometimes
wonder to myself how no one sees me coming…
I have sought and found peace this weekend. I have sought and found
shelter, care, comfort, and belonging, and it feels quite wonderful.
I hope to share this feeling with Council tomorrow, because it is
these people who are the focus of my work, those artists in my
neighborhood who teach me, As much ire as humanity inspires from me, I
could never abandon the race.
