So, I’m gonna go on a bit of radio silence for the next 24 hours. For
the last I can’t count how many, and now, nearly 18 in a row, I have
been plugged into this thing (although I’ve managed the odd respite,
aaahhh… thank god for beaches).
I love Oshawa Ontario, it has been my home for 6 years, with a 6 month
parting that damned near tore me asunder.
I came home that year, full of enthusiasm, hope, daring, and do. And I did.
I am taking home tomorrow, full of the same enthusiasm, hope, daring,
and continued do I have displayed since back then.
So, to be honest, nothing much has changed. I remember specifically
that fateful council meeting where I told Kevin “whatever happens it’s
not going to change your life”. I meant that. That first council
meeting meant nothing compared to the face time I am earning tomorrow.
I’m a chaser of men, for sure, and thank god someone does, otherwise
they’d never come out. Lord knows I managed to muster quite the
spectacle in the park on Saturday. I’m looking forward to seeing how
well we all do now that we have the wrinkles ironed out.
I have a meeting with Mayor Gray tomorrow. Far be it for me to have
compassion for my elected official, but that poor sonofaB has been in
a 16 hour marathon meeting since yesterday. All opinions, rhetoric,
and emotion aside, the man is obviously intelligent, and loves what he
does.
I can’t wait to be received in his office. I so enjoy discussion with
like minded, equal partners.
And now I need a rest, I’m spent…. and have a performance or two…
or three…. to rest up four :)
