My dreams…. have turned to nightmares..

and it seems… I’m always scared
I’ll scream when you hold me” – HELL

I’m not for everyone… sometimes it feels like I’m not for anyone.

I’ve been wont to mention this blessed union (I’d say re….but we were never separated), just cause it has a tendency to go to people’s heads… but I’ll be playing an open mic tonite at Atria in case any of you would like to come out and see what I’m capable of when you put me on Hell’s leash.

Everyone tells you to be independent… but not one teaches you how to depend on others. It is as much an art as independence is, and considering it is necessary to life that we consort amongst our peers, that we should cultivate a deep knowledge of dependance.

As a woman, I have a particular experience in this regard, as I’ve been raised to live without the aid of men. I was reading an inspirational piece posted by a friend this morning “from an old woman to a young one” which begs us to “stop relying on guys to get you your stuff, get your own stuff” and “Partners will respect you more” if you do this.

While this is true, you can respect yourself right out of vital resources you need o survive. When men see no need to assist, they do not assist. It is very pure and simple. That we use them for economic gain is not a sign of the times. Woman have always gained bargaining themselves, and their ability to provide offspring (and pleasure) for their economic (and political, and spiritual) gain.

I’ve never walked through a single door that wasn’t opened for me by a man.

I have kicked plenty down in my own right thank you.

I have opened plenty of my own doors.

Nothing of it matters…. except when you find yourself face to face in the same room, bare… and needy.

“and I ain’t coming home, my mind is all alone, I’ve got no time, and faith fucked off while I was making other plans” – MORAHAN

So I’ll be cussing tonite at Atria… But I won’t be naked, Hells’ got my back.

10PM – $3 beers, be there.
