My self esteem…. a dollar at a time…

So many things going on, I’m getting dizzy!

And I imagine I will be spinning before long… I am working on music,
and managing to incorporate (and accompany myself with) my taps. I
know it sounds ridiculous, but I have been in love with the sound of
clacking shoes since I was a little girl. tic… tic… tic….
tickety tick!

I have some monumental pieces of coorespondance to write, I hate
those, but I’m committed to getting one in particular out of the way
this morning, my letter to Barbara Hall, the Commissioner of Human
Rights of Ontario. I think I’ve let enough time pass to simmer down
enough to present myself accurately. One only gets one shot at that
first impression… I don’t think I’m angry anymore, but I am
appreciative of how hurt I am. I know that I have done all I can to
mitigate my circumstances, and I know who’s stood back and watched.
The hen is coming home to roost gentlemen, she’s done hiding easter
eggs.

I am also appreciative of how big the sad is inside me. I was able to
relieve myself Saturday night with a starry walk, some pleasant talk,
big surprises, and a dance or two. Whirled a girl or two around the
floor under flashing lights… (my girl being my camera). Funny how
I’ve named the instruments, even the shoes, but never named the
cameras.

Poor thing (s). After all they’ve done for me…

I shall be naming the new Nikon Lucky Strike. And the JVC…. battle
worn(the thousands of HOURS I’ve recorded on that camera…. the
adventures we’ve had…), used up, still a valued and productive
member of my body… The Train Man. My little HP 1.2mp, which is
retired, but on whom I cut my teeth, and managed more than a gem or
two… Lithe :).

Big Surprises. I think we’re all in for a few this summer. I know I
have a few coming at me, a few to throw around, as soon as I gather up
some muscle.

Now it’s off to carve out a pound of flesh….

Train man. Taken with the HP, my favorite portrait of Kevin I’ve done,
taken on the Go Train using the window as a point of focus.

I call this one Lie-the A gem from the HP. I took this shot of a
display in the window at the King Eddy. This was the winter just prior
to beginning production on Anterockstar. I was working in an office at
the time, and obviously, was looking for a career change. This photo
reflects more than just a few aspects of my thoughts at that time.
Again, used the old window trick.

same trip, different patch of sky :) This is one of those HP gems I
was talking about :) That camera may have only been 1.2 mp, but it
opened up the sky for me. On a flight to Washington, D.C., January,
2006, where I tried to bring a set of kitchen knives back through
security at Washington Dulles. hahaha. More uniforms than you can
shake a knife at that day…
