In a little less than 24 hours now, the sun will rise on one of the
biggest days of my life. (second only to my wedding, third to my
grad… in terms of ceremonies anyways,).
It’s awesome for me to recall the cast of characters from all three.
Some are recurring, some are not…
KEVIN. Has been at my side for all three. :)
JENN. Has also shared all three with me. :)
I now have kids to share this moment with, although Justin and Frannie
have been around since the beginning (poor Frannie suffered through
our wedding, she’ll be wailing her head off for entirely different
reasons on Saturday). This will be Lucas and Emma’s first gig. They’ve
spent far too much time in the production house, and not enough time
on the stage. Lucas practiced his intro before leaving for school this
morning and nailed it.
For everyone involved on Saturday, this will be a moment in time they
will never forget (literally, we’re broadcasting/archiving the whole
thing online). I’m so proud of me and my people. I started writing
thank-you cards last night just to get a head start, the lineups
getting longer…
There is no doubt, no woman no cry, the sun will shine on Saturday…
and so will me and mine…
