Turns out…

I can light fires without them burning out of control. Yay.

Another whirlywindy week… I swear sometimes I don’t know what day it
is. Had the usual hurdles to jump through this week, man survival is
quite the game isn’t it? Once again…. shared with friends.

It’s funny when you start to play the game with an inclusive objective
as opposed to an exclusive one…

funny how circumstances unfold to eliminate the weakest links along
the way without you even trying…

Even funnier when you see yourself eliminated and understand why.

Makes for a better strategy next time in the ring.

So, enough of the philosobullshit. I’ve been focusing on trying to
have more “fun” doing things as opposed to “working” ALL the time.
Occupational hazard I guess, when your profession becomes observing
and learning from everyone around you, it’s all R&D.

So “fun” I’ve had… had some marvelous things to see this week. I
took Lucas for a walk down to the creek and we saw a bullfrog. How
cool is that that he gets to remember going to the creek with his
Mommy and best friend and found a frog?

We had a lovely time, I just love feeling the pressure of the current
when I stand in the water. It’s really strong in places, and the rocks
are pretty slippery, but it’s marvelous to manage to keep your balance
against such power.

Then there was the afternoon and ensuing shin dig moving Hell. I so
love hanging around boys who play with toys cause it ends up making
such lovely noise.

Especially in my head. It’s easy to stop talking to yourself when
everyone else is expressing themselves… and once you stop talking
long enough, you can hear the noise that’s actually there… and it’s
pretty. I spent a great deal of time alone (in silence) watching the
apartment while the guys moved things, and was surprised to find out
there are melodies in my head….

And even more surprised to hear peoples’ impression of me. Lots of
people watch/read me, not alot of people comment/talk back to me. It’s
insane how much beer and conversation it takes to get to that point,
but I think I’m begining to understand better…

How people see me…

Why it is people see me the way that they do…

and most importantly…

That they don’t always see me the way I think they do…

And that they’re not always what they appear to be either :)
