Unmasked

The politesse, that hides duresse… behind a graceful smile
smiling eyes, cannot diguise, wanton wishful guile
stirring deep within… a wanton needful sin.

unmasked I stand, neither woman nor man
among the smited many, withered pennies
corroding in the wind…
restoring life without her strife would undermine the man
the woman now lies severed, bows, naked
stirring deep within…

Unmasked, unpure, she wins this way the fate of him who would
to turn his heads of wood to turnr hearts ache, till recoil breaks
her blood comes to a boil… turning up the soiled..

Masks are burned for catalysts, lay shattered ash danced upon the ground
the same they are the same are we forever we are bound
stir it till it takes… surfs wide breaks
the world is turning round, the tide has shifted now…
my heart and soul are sound, inside the heartless ground
in cold bliss I wear the crown, a self anointed clown
and never lay my mask down
be it shattered, torn or tattered
or ash upon the ground.

*****

Sunday morning musings I got asked for advice today on how to start a band. I know some of you will find this hilarious, considering I’ve been trying to do just that for several years with little success…lol… you could say.

My response:

Write
find yourself some other musicians
jam
see how it gels

Jamming is what begets gelling.

Gelling is what you want so that the thing keeps its shape over time. Also, gelling is important to allow it to wibble wobble over the various shapes it’s going to have to become if it ever wishes to become something more solid… like a rock.

Cohesion is another word.

You can’t have a band without cohesion. Long term cohesion is sustained through bonding, bonding requires catalysts (intense heat for example), and on occasion an agent to secure the bond (like, glue….).

*giggles*

My little advice seeker just sighed and said perhaps he’d go ask John…lol….
