I am disappointed that City staff, and regional police, do not have
the foresight, or courage, this Council as a body demonstrated in
allowing this event to move forward with its support, in embracing the
future without fear.
We would be dishonest if we were to admit we had no foreknowledge of
the events that unfolded on Saturday. We all acknowledged our roles in
allowing the unfolding history to be recorded.
How we deal with this situation going forward is the real opportunity
this event presents.
In compensation for lost stage time, and value, we request that the
City of Oshawa grant us stage time at the Jubilee Pavillion on July
1st, 2009. We look forward to entertaining the Canada Day crowd, and
remain open to discussions regarding content that will be presented.
We also request the use of tables to move merchandise, as well as for
our acts who did not get to appear at Memorial Park, the 3Tards,
Reggie ArkAngel, bodypaint artist, LEAP (law enforcement against
prohibition), and Jade Lorraine. We also request that our permits
already obtained remain valid for this event.
I also request that the city refund us our money immediately, as well
as expenses to talent and vendors for secondary disbursements, to
allow us to restock merchandise distributed to fans for their trouble,
and pay vendors who remain outstanding, and honor donations already
received.
I will submit a full accounting once all receipts are tallied.
The 3Tards are now on a race to an online million by July 1st to raise
money for breast cancer.
I request that the City of Oshawa post a news link as well as an
animated gif over the KISS link on their home page announcing this
event.
In addition, I request that the City of Oshawa execute a letter of
intent to begin negotiations for another fundraiser event, for a
charity to be named, in the fall of 2009 with www.anterockstar.com.
As well, I demand that the officer in charge of the scene, the
gentleman in the hat who made my daughter cry, issue her a personal
apology, to be videotaped and broadcast, standing at her level, with
his hat off, which includes his solemn promise that he will never
allow himself to behave in such a disgraceful manner again.
I also request a personal apology from the Supervising Officer in
charge of the unit to myself personally for the abuses of his men.
I request that all criminal records enacted Saturday night be expunged.
At this time, I would like to offer mine, and talents apologies for
making noise on Saturday.
In closing, we are premiering our short film, “Shwatarded”, at Bloor
Cinemas, on Friday June 26th, 2009. I invite this council to be our
special guests at this event, as well as the afterparty celebrating
our joint success.
Please contact me personally for details.
Thank you once again for your time and indulgence.
